Should I choose chain or belt drive?
Chain is very durable and more cost effective than belt. Belt drive however is recommended if there is accommodation above your garage as it is the quieter option.
How long will it take me to install a garage door opener?
According to your mechanical skills, it should take approximately one to three hours after unpacking and reading the instructions. A second set of hands is always useful to help hold items in place while securing.
Is my garage door suitable for automation?
We have garage door openers to suit almost all garage doors. Single and double garage doors can be operated as well as hinged and sectional garage doors.
Please note that all door types must be in good working order and balanced correctly, according to the door manufacturers specification before fitting an opener. As a rule of thumb if the door opens easily and smoothly then it is suitable for an installation.
Can I open two or more garage doors from the same remote?
Yes, you can program your remotes to open more than one garage door. Your other garage door must have the same same type of receiver board, if not you can purchase a universal receiver which will solve this problem.
Can I operate my electric gates from the same remote as my garage door?
Yes, you can program your remotes to open your electric gate opener as well as your garage door. Your gate opener must have the same receiver board, if not you can purchase a universal receiver which will solve this problem.
If there is a power failure will I be able to open my garage door?
The garage door can manually be opened from the inside. If there is no other entrance to your garage, then you will require a lock release. This allows you, via key, to disable the lock on your opener to allow for manual operation.
